Step into a world of creativity and imagination inspired by Imagine by Alison Lester and the performance at The Round IMAGINE LIVE. In this hands‑on Art Adventure Day, children are invited to travel through imaginary landscapes, meet wonderful animals, and create artworks that bring their ideas to life.

✏️ Drawing Activity – Imagine Your Own World

Inspired by the book’s journeys across deserts, oceans, forests, icy lands, and bustling cities, children will draw themselves inside a world they imagine. They’ll create a unique landscape filled with animals, colours, and adventures — a place they would love to visit or invent themselves.

🐧 Clay Creation – Winter Penguin

Travelling to the icy regions of the imagination, children will sculpt a clay penguin, inspired by the winter season and the frozen ice caps where penguins wobble, slide, and gather. Using simple clay techniques, kids will shape their own penguin and give it personality, movement, and character.

🎭 Craft Activity – Wearable Animal Masks

Children will design and create mixed‑media animal masks inspired by the creatures in the story. Using cardboard, paint, collage materials, and texture, they’ll transform into imaginative animals of land, sea, or ice. The session ends with a mini parade or improvised performance, where children can proudly wear their masks and bring their animal characters to life.

This joyful program encourages creativity, storytelling, and self‑expression while exploring themes of imagination, travel, and connection to the natural world. Perfect for primary‑aged children, Imagine! Art Adventure Day is a celebration of art, play, and creative thinking.

Please bring a snack, lunch, hat, sunscreen, and smock/apron.
