Portraiture Demonstration with Alan Close

In celebration of Askolds Petersons exhibition A Way of Seeing, experienced artist, educator and member of the Whitehorse Arts Association Alan Close will give a demonstration on how to create an engaging portrait. Alan will use watercolours to sketch the likeness of a sitter, focusing on techniques to capture the eyes, ears, nose and mouth. A great introduction into the basics of portraiture, perfect for the budding artist, or established practitioners who want to brush up their skills. BYO paper pad and pencils if you’d like to join in!
