‘Two Worlds’ is a new exhibition by local artist Santosh Mahale that reflects the influences that have shaped his life and work, as an Indian born artist living and working in Australia. Other dualities explored in this exhibition include his professional journeys in engineering and art, and themes of migration and belonging. Through map-inspired oil paintings, Santosh explores how identity is not defined by choosing one place over another, but by weaving them together. This exhibition is a celebration of belonging to more than one place — of finding connection across continents, careers, and cultures.
The artist will be giving Artist Floortalks every week of the exhibition, on Wednesdays at 11am and Saturdays at 3pm. Bookings not required, just drop in.
