Discover how to sketch, draw, and paint digitally using the Procreate app on your iPad in this engaging 4-week course. You’ll explore the basics of digital illustration while working on two creative projects focused on layering and colour.
Learn how to build depth and atmosphere through layer structure, colour study, gradients, transparency, and texture. We’ll also explore aerial perspective and how to choose colours to enhance mood and storytelling.
Students will experiment with blending gradients, adjusting layer opacity to create effects such as glass and ice transparency, and using brush textures to bring illustrations to life.
Students must bring their own iPad and have downloaded the app ‘Procreate’ onto their iPad before coming to class. Stylus or Apple Pencil.
(Students enrolling will need an iPad with the app Procreate downloaded on it already - this costs $19 on the app store. A stylus or Apple Pencil is required. You can get cheap stylus' from $5 shops or online).
