Join quilt artists Elaine Maslen, Anne Cocks and Judy Robinson Whitty for an afternoon of quilting. Elaine will demonstrate embellishment with embroidery on quilts showing how the choice of needle, thickness and lustre of thread, make an ordinary motif spectacular.
Participants will be able to try out some of the amazing decorative stitches that enhance any project.
Anne will use the Brother Sewing Machine to demonstrate the steps and skills required to effect texture and motifs on Textile Art Pieces.
See first-hand how the technique holds the layers of the quilt together, making the quilting practical as well as highly decorative.
Judy will show you how to use a variety of felt shapes and thick colourful threads, to construct a multi layered and decorated flower.
