Visit the Whitehorse Art Gallery this school holidays to experience the art and craft of weaving though this family friendly activity, inspired by the exhibition Random Weave: Basketmakers of Victoria celebrate 40 years.
Using vine circles, seedpods, coloured raffia, coloured cordage, beads and other materials, participants will be guided by volunteer members of Basketmakers of Victoria to create their own woven friendship circle. This activity will be available at the Gallery during the school holiday dates below:
Tuesday 22 September: 1pm – 3pm
Thursday 24 September: 1pm – 3pm
Tuesday 29 September: 1pm – 3pm
Thursday 1 October: 1pm – 3pm
Adult supervision of participating children is required. This is a FREE activity, bookings essential. Email artgallery@whitehorse.vic.gov.au to reserve your place.
