Join us at this years Spring Festival on the grounds of the Whitehorse Civic Centre Precinct and, The Round.

The Whitehorse Civic Centre Precinct and The Round is well-connected by public transport, offering convenient options for patrons travelling to a show.

• Bus: McCulloch St/Whitehorse Rd on the 901 route is the closest bus station, only a short walk from the bus stop to venue. The nearby Nunawading Station can also be accessed by the 273, 902 and 735 route.  
• Train: The closest train station is Nunawading Station, on the Belgrave and Lilydale line. Which is approximately 1km or a 10-minute walk from the event site. From there, you can alternatively take a taxi, ride-sharing service, or catch a connecting bus.

We recommend checking for changes to public transport schedules, routes or service disruptions before travelling. 

Planned road closure: A planned closure of the Eastern Freeway is expected to impact travel on the day of Spring Festival. While the festival precinct remains accessible, visitors who would usually travel via the Eastern Freeway should allow additional travel time and consider an alternative route. Check current traffic conditions before you travel.

There is limited parking available at the Whitehorse Civic Centre and Walker Park. We recommend walking, riding your bike, carpooling, or public transport where possible.

Accessibility and Event Inclusions:

There are a number of event inclusions and accessibility features to help support the community.

• Chill out space: A quiet and calm space away from the festivities, providing patrons an opportunity to break away.
• Auslan: There are interpreters available at select performances.
• Changing Places Facility: To support individuals with disabilities and their carers, a fully equipped larger changing facility can be found on the ground floor of The Round.
• Accessible Toilets: Available in both The Round and Civic Centre.
• All-gender Toilets: Available at The Round.
• Parents Room: Available in both The Round and Civic Centre.
• Accessible Parking: Located in the eastern carpark of The Round, enter via Whitehorse Road.
• Service Animals: Service animals are welcome at all Whitehorse events. Water facilities will be available.

Is Spring Festival free?
Yes. Spring Festival is a free community event.

Do I need to book or register?
No. You can arrive at any time and enjoy the festival.

What is there to do at Spring Festival?
Spring Festival features live performances, community stalls, activities, rides, workshops and food throughout the Whitehorse Civic Centre Precinct and The Round. There is plenty to explore across the festival site throughout the day.

Is Spring Festival family-friendly?
Yes. Spring Festival is suitable for all ages, with activities and entertainment for children, families and adults throughout the day.

Are the rides and activities free?
Entry to Spring Festival is free, along with the festival's rides and many activities. Food, drinks and any items available for purchase are at your own cost.

Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes. A range of food and drink vendors will be available throughout the festival.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own food and enjoy a picnic at the festival.

What should I bring?
We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle, sun protection and clothing suitable for the weather. Comfortable shoes are also a good idea, as there is plenty to explore across the festival precinct.

Is there seating provided?
There is seating available around the precinct at each stage and inside of The Round. 

Is the event accessible?
Yes. Spring Festival includes a range of accessibility features and facilities. More information can be found in the Accessibility tab on this page.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Bringing dogs is not recommended due to large crowds, noise and activity throughout the festival. Any dogs that attend must be kept on a leash and under control at all times.

What happens if it rains or if it is very hot?
Spring Festival will go ahead in most weather conditions. Please dress appropriately for the forecast and stay hydrated.

If conditions become unsafe or there are changes to the event, updates will be shared via the Creative Whitehorse and Whitehorse City Council websites and social media pages.

How do I get there and where can I park?
Limited parking is available at the Whitehorse Civic Centre and Walker Park. We recommend walking, riding your bike, carpooling or using public transport where possible.

Are shade tents or marquees allowed?
No. Personal shade tents and marquees are not permitted. Please bring a hat and sun protection.

Is there drinking water available?
Yes. Drinking water will be available onsite for visitors to refill their water bottles. Please bring a reusable water bottle with you.

Is there a lost children or lost property point?
Yes. Lost children and lost property should be reported to the Information Point. Event staff will be able to assist you.

Are drones allowed?
No. Drones are not permitted at Spring Festival for safety reasons.

Can I bring glass bottles or containers?
No. Spring Festival is a glass-free event for safety reasons. All BYO beverages must be in non-breakable containers.

Can I smoke or vape at the event?
No. Spring Festival is a smoke and vape-free event for the safety and comfort of all attendees.

Will there be photographers and videographers at the event?
Yes. Council will be capturing photos and footage during Spring Festival for promotional use. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let our staff know during the event.
